About: Michigan

I took a short weekend to do some photography around Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Upper Michigan. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't favorable for more than a morning, so I decided to take a nice drive down the west side of Lower Michigan, along the lake shore.

The first folder in this section has some pictures from the U.P. including areas around Pictured Rocks. The area is really gorgeous, I will have to come back and explore the many hiking trails and waterfalls. Bring plenty of bug spray here!

The next section contains pictures from the rest of the trip, between Mackinaw City (and the Mackinac Bridge) down to Silver Lake, just south of Ludington a short ways.

In Silver Lake State Park there is some great dune riding. Jeeps, ATV's, motorcycles, and straight up dune buggies rule this area, bouncing around a large dune area that is most fun. Check out my GPS track below. I plan on returning here for more fun soon!
