About: St. John, USVI

Way back in the spring of 1999 I decided to hit the US Virgin Islands. I camped out for a week in beautiful Cinnamon Bay Campground. Right on site was an interesting Taino Indian excavation. I wonder if that is still going on.

The island offers much for outdoors-people, since most of it is unspoiled national park. Trunk Bay offers fantastic snorkeling, and even an underwater nature trail to follow. Salomon Bay is the unofficial nude beach of the island. It is only accessable by boat or walking trail, about a mile from the town of Cruz Bay.

I haven't dived the waters of St. John, but I'm itching to go back, so that will be on the list of things I plan on doing when I return.
